As our Mobile Engineering Lead, you'll architect and drive the strategy for our React Native iOS and Android apps, ensuring they’re robust, user-friendly, and aligned with our bold product vision. Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead Mobile App Technical Strategies

  • Design and evolve a scalable, maintainable mobile architecture using React Native for both iOS and Android.
  • Establish coding guidelines, best practices, and quality standards for mobile development.
  • Advocate for new technologies and architectures (e.g., modularization, cross-platform best practices) to stay ahead of the curve.

2. Cross-Platform App Development

  • Collaborate closely with designers and product managers to build and maintain features in React Native for iOS and Android.
  • Ensure seamless integration with backend APIs, working alongside the backend team to plan and optimize API usage.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve issues promptly to maintain high reliability and performance.
  • 4. Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor the mobile engineering team, conducting code reviews, providing feedback, and fostering professional growth.
  • Work closely with product managers and the backend team to estimate timelines, plan sprints, and deliver high-quality releases on schedule.
  • Guide UX and product development efforts with designers to ensure an intuitive, user-focused experience.
  • 5. Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the mobile app release lifecycle, including build pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
  • Optimize continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines to ensure quick, reliable releases.
  • Monitor app performance, gather feedback, and iterate to continually improve our application.
  • 6. Driving Innovation

  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in mobile development (React Native, iOS / Android ecosystems).
  • Recommend and implement new approaches that improve app performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to brainstorm new features and refine existing functionalities.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    Experience

  • 8+ years of experience building and launching mobile applications on iOS and Android.
  • 5+ years of experience in React Native app development.
  • Proven track record of team management or leadership (3+ years).
  • Technical Skills

  • Advanced expertise in automated testing for React Native applications.
  • Strong understanding of iOS and Android development lifecycles, including App Store / Play Store submission processes.
  • Experience integrating and working with external APIs.
  • Proficient in Git and agile project management methodologies.
  • Soft Skills

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to exhibit the Company’s core values : Empathy, Passion, and Grit.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and ensure alignment between teams.
  • Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal).

  • Familiarity with advanced mobile performance optimization and profiling tools.
  • Experience with caching solutions and real-time data integrations.
