The Opportunity
We are hiring a Senior People & Culture Coordinator to support and strengthen DeVry’s people practices by ensuring People & Culture initiatives, processes, and day-to-day operations are delivered with care, consistency, and professionalism.
This role supports the People & Culture Manager in executing people programs, navigating employee relations matters, and maintaining strong governance across the organization. Balancing experienced judgement with hands-on execution, the Senior People & Culture Coordinator helps ensure that people related work is thoughtful, compliant, and aligned with DeVry’s core values and long-term goals.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires sound judgement, discretion, and a team-first mindset. Success in this role comes from doing the details well, supporting others effectively, and contributing to a positive and consistent employee experience across DeVry.

Responsibilities
- Support the execution of People & Culture initiatives, ensuring timelines, documentation, and follow through are clear and reliable
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to employee relations, performance management, investigations, and compliance
- Support policy development, updates, and interpretation in alignment with employment legislation and P&C best practices
- Assist with coordination of performance cycles, learning initiatives, and people programs
- Identify risks, gaps, or delays in people initiatives and escalate appropriately
- Conduct research on employment legislation, emerging people issues, and best practices to inform decisions
- Support culture and employee experience initiatives that reinforce DeVry's Core Values
- Liaise with internal teams to support consistent rollout approved people programs
- Provide hands-on operational and administrative support across People & Culture as needed particularly during peak periods
Qualifications
5-10+ years of experience in People & Culture, Human Resources, or related fieldBachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related disciplineCPHR designation or active pursuit strongly preferredSolid understanding of employee relations, employment legislation, and People & Culture best practicesStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to handle sensitive matters with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgementStrong alignment with DeVry Core Values and a genuine interest in supporting people and cultureCompetencies
