Job description

Responsibilities

  • Understanding client engineering deliverables including piping isometrics, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Producing shop drawings using various CAD applications, including Autodesk® AutoCAD®, SmartPlant® Spoolgen® and AcornPipe.

Qualifications

  • Construction trade certification with equivalent experience, or post-secondary diploma or degree in drafting or engineering preferred.
  • 3 years of checking experience working in a pipe fabrication shop.
  • A strong understanding of ASME / API / CSA piping codes, engineering details & specifications.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

    • This is an hourly contract starting immediately, with an approximate 6-month duration. Additionally, the successful applicant must be willing to take and pass a pre-access alcohol & drug test.
