Equipment & Smallware Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure the timely availability of goods and services.
- Manage our comprehensive purchasing operations, including our turn-key list of 300 items.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing issues promptly and ensuring high-quality products / services.
- Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the efficiency of the purchasing process.
- Manage and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance and support.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Equipment and Smallware Purchasing Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Asset to have education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Asset to have experience importing goods from China.
- Fluency in Mandarin is an asset
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
