Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure the timely availability of goods and services.
  • Manage our comprehensive purchasing operations, including our turn-key list of 300 items.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing issues promptly and ensuring high-quality products / services.
  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the efficiency of the purchasing process.
  • Manage and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance and support.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a Equipment and Smallware Purchasing Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Asset to have education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Asset to have experience importing goods from China.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is an asset

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
