About the team :

The Emerging Storage Lab is a research group based at Huawei Canada's Toronto and Vancouver Research Centre that is focused on next-generation storage technologies and innovations. Our team comprises graduate computer engineers and computer scientists with diverse industry experience, ranging from 0 to over 20 years. This lab investigates various storage -related topics, including storage devices, persistent memory , file systems , storage networks, and AI storage , aiming to advance the field and drive storage technological progress in the new AI era.

About the job :

• Conduct advanced research on the intersection of AI and data storage, developing state-of-the-art storage technologies to enhance AI training and inference.
• Explore and implement emerging storage technologies designed to accelerate AI workloads and improve the efficiency of AI infrastructure.
• Design the architecture of storage components and subsystems to meet the unique demands of AI-driven applications and workloads.
• Develop software solutions that address key technical challenges in storage systems, including functionality and performance testing.
• Work closely with international teams, leveraging global expertise to advance research and enhance the quality of storage solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest research and trends by studying state-of-the-art work and applying innovative ideas to solve complex problems.
