As a New Recreation Team Member, you will :
- Be enrolled in / completed diploma or degree recreation / leisure studies and / or gerontology from a community college or university
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
As a new Recreation Team Member (REC) joining our Retirement Village Team it would be an ASSET but not required for you to having the following :
- Experience facilitating group activities and programs
- Experience facilitating group activities
- Have exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
- Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
- Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individual’s health
- Knowledge of recreational therapy practices, methods, techniques and opportunities to improve resident’s well-being and holistic health
