What you will do :
Promote safe work practices and resolve all safety concerns as identifiedEnsuring the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipmentCreate a motivational work environment to promote top performance of associatesCommunicate performance standards and coach associates in assigned dutiesManage shift activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy of serviceMeasure, record, and report individual and team performance against standardsParticipate in meetings of the Joint Health & Safety Committee to coordinate safety initiativesMaintaining a clean work area and free of all safety hazards at all timeTake leadership in directing, correcting, and recognizing associates on a regular basisActively involved Process ImprovementOversee accident investigation in the event of associate injury or product damage and ensure proper documentation with the associates is being completedComplete associate counseling and performance appraisals as requiredEnsure associates are being trained in job duties and are being provided with updates on any changesOversee payroll process to ensure all associates are being paid accuratelyCompleting all necessary reports in a timely and accurate mannerPerform departmental duties, leading by example in daily performance and conductWhat you will bring :
Completion of a college or university program in business administration, industrial engineering or in a discipline related to supply chain logistics; or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a manager capacity preferredSupply chain management experience in distribution or warehousingExperience in a logistics environment utilizing WMS and RF technology (HighJump and / or AS400)Ability to work in a fast-paced, large volume, high-intensity environment, with strong focus on meeting / exceeding measurable metricsAbility to foster and develop teamwork with associatesExperience assisting in implementing continuous improvement programs, with knowledge of working in a LEAN environment is an assetExperience promoting and ensuring a quality driven and safety conscious environmentDemonstrated excellence in customer and internal relationship buildingMust have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environmentDemonstrated knowledge and user experience with Excel, Access, E-Mail, and Word DocumentsExcellent organizational, analytical, prioritization and problem-solving skillsPossess communication skills including active listening, public speaking, written documentation, verbal instruction, training and development
