We are a family-owned transportation company, based in Byron Center, MI, and have been in operation since 1978.
Due to a recent change, we are looking to add a Terminal Manager to a dedicated team of transportation professionals in our Windsor, Ontario location.
The Terminal Manager plays a key role in managing day-to-day operations, while developing a strong relationship with employees, customers and vendors. Several years of experience in the trucking industry, a keen eye for detail and follow-through on federal and provincial regulations are attributes of a successful candidate.
Shift : Weekdays with occasional weekend work and non-standard hours as needed.
What you will do :
- Maintain knowledge of DOT & FMCSA Regulations
- Manage, motivate, and lead the operational teams
- Manage work flows within the department and set clear expectations
- Responsible for training and the continual development of employees within the department
- Conduct regular meetings and reviews with employees regarding operational issues and solutions
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOP's for all operational areas
- Project management and implementation
- Establish and measure quality metrics for improvements
- Identify operational efficiencies through technology
- Develop strong working relationships with customers and vendors
What you bring to the team :
