Electrical Controls Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to drive innovation, solve complex challenges, and contribute to the creation of leading solutions in the industry.

What you’ll be doing in the role :
Lead and participate in the successful execution of project design, layout, and engineeringDevelop and approve of engineering design documents, reports, and drawingsDefine, monitor, and adjust project scope of workSupport the team during procurement, construction, and commissioning activitiesPrepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manualsEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all electrical designs and implementationsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team membersAttend customer sites for project reviews, commissioning, etc.What you bring to the role :
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent.A valid P. Eng license in Ontario is strongly preferred.PMP designation is an assetMinimum 7 years’ post-graduate experience in Electrical Engineering design, commissioning, etc.Experience with industrial and commercial projects including material handling, conveyor, and warehousing solutionsStrong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practicesExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders effectivelyExcellent oral and written English communication skillsHighly motivated with exceptional organizational skills, a proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.Quotation experience is requiredStrong computer skills including MS Office suite, AutoCAD (advanced level), Accubid, Spectrum, etc.Valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driving abstract.Ability to travel to various project sites throughout the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. Occasional travel to other areas of Canada and / or the US may be required.
