Overview
The primary role of theAssembler is tofacilitatethe assembly and fabrication of final products. This role will also perform duties as required by aTeam Lead / Supervisor / Manufacturing OperationsManager, in multiple departments as needed.
Roles & Responsibilities
Fabricationand assemblyof piece parts as per schematic under supervision of asupervisor.
Proficient with small hand and power tools such as wrenches, drills, and grinders.
Familiarize self with and / or request training concerning new small / hand-held equipment.
Assistanceand compliance with company inventory requirements.
Unloading products received and loading finished products for delivery.
Maintain small / hand-held equipment in good working order and notify Supervisor of malfunctions.
Assisttrades people,Team Lead / Supervisor / Manufacturing OperationsManagerwith responsibilities pertinent to progress of project in a safe manner andin accordance with5-S program.
Liaise with aTeam Lead / Supervisor / Manufacturing OperationsManagerto find and confirm new duties.
Familiarize self with newprojectand duties.
Organize and cleandepartment, particularly at the end of each workday.
Notify theTeam Lead / Supervisor / Manufacturing OperationsManagerof any unsafe conditions, practices, or proceduresobserved.
May berequiredto move materials with forklift or overhead crane if trained and authorized.
Performs all dutiesin accordance withSilent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
Other duties asrequired.

Knowledge ofappropriate materials, methods, andthe toolsrequiredin various assembly processes.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to workschedule.
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Must be able to carry and move equipment and / or suppliesin excess of40 pounds.
Must be able to read a tape measure and perform simple mathematical fractional equations.
Abilityto read blueprints is considered an asset.
Working Conditions
Commercial / Industrial environment.
Manual dexterityrequiredto use necessary tools.
Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
Long periodsof standing.
