Job description

XNRGY is seeking a qualified Electrical Product Engineer to join its team located in St-Hubert. Reporting to the Director, Mission Critical Engineering , this person is responsible for performing leading electrical engineering aspects of the Air Handling Units (AHU) product lines. This includes electrical load calculation, designing power distribution and electrical panels manufactured in XNRGY’s facility. In addition, you will be responsible for the development of electrical drawing, bill of materials and documentation for these units. Also, you would attend meetings with customers and suppliers as needed.

An overview of your responsibilities :

  • Electrical expert of AHU product line
  • Participate and lead submittal process
  • Responsible for electrical technical aspect of every project within product line
  • Provide technical support to the sales, application engineering, production, and service teams
  • Technical lead for development program within product line
  • Train designers & drafters assigned to projects within AHU Product Line
  • Support Application Engineering team for technical as a SME (Subject Matter Expert)
  • Design power distribution and electrical panels for Air Handling Units (AHU)
  • Perform load calculation to size control panels and VFDs
  • Develop single line diagram, control schematic, and power distribution electrical drawings
  • Contribute to the development of air handling unit design
  • Create library of programs used in various HVAC product lines and improve company tools
  • Work closely with sales team and / or customers to ensure compatibility with the design intent
  • Assist in the preparation of technical presentations to support the sales department
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need, among other things!

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, controls, or other related fields
  • Minimum 3 years experience as electrical engineer
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, SEE Electrical or other electrical drafting software
  • Experience in sizing, developing specifications, and reviewing fabrication drawings of lowvoltage and medium-voltage systems
  • Experience in sizing, developing specifications, and reviewing fabrication drawings of variable frequency drives, harmonic filters, and power monitoring
  • Creative, innovative, and keen attention to details with strong work ethics
  • Proactive team player with a sense of responsibility and capable to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
