Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Corporate Accountant will help lead the monthly corporate close activities, along with preparation and execution of intercompany transactions, equity accounting transactions and expense review with the executive team.

• This is for our winter co-op to begin in September 2024 until December 2024. Wage : CAD $20.00 per hour. Monday-Friday
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations in areas including leases, long-term debt, prepaids, and accruals
• Monitor and analyze accounting data for accuracy and compliance with US GAAP, while also providing meaningful analysis on operating results to key stakeholders around the business
• Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statement schedules and reconciliations for public disclosure
• Identify and implement process improvements to help reduce time to close and automate manual tasks
• Review expenses at the corporate entity and ensure they are appropriately categorized
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and complete other assignments as necessary
