Job Description :

  • Ensure daily Cash collateral movements are captured on time and accurately within payment systems.
  • Fix accounting errors of cash collateral posted.
  • Ensure month-end interest reconciliations are completed and items escalated as required.
  • Act as a first line of defense to the trading business, ensuring accurate books and records are maintained while providing a seamless client experience.
  • Provide extended coverage during absence of team members ( vacation)
  • Collateral Payments
  • Open new accounts for cash collateral including SSI’s setup and verification.
  • Escalate all issues as per agreed terms and standing orders.
  • Monthly interest settlements and reconciliation.
  • Account setup for cash collateral by verifying SSI’s and performing callbacks.
  • Coupon payment and custody fee payments.
  • Responding to inquiries on a timely basis
  • Operational Controls
  • Operational onboarding of new and / or existing counterparties for applications and services related to the collateral management process.
  • Reconciliation of internal books and processing necessary correction entries.
  • Perform portfolio and collateral reconciliations with counterparties.
  • Ensuring client data is accurately maintained in collateral management system and other documents as required.
  • Report Weekly fails and breaks to management.

Ideally-have :

  • An understanding of the daily margin lifecycle.
  • Some accounting knowledge / background
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, good time management and ability to multi-task
  • A working knowledge of some of the vendor systems / solutions such as Colline, Alert, DOS payment systems.
  • A broad knowledge of one or more regulatory regimes, including.
  • Dodd Frank, CASS, Transaction Reporting, MiFID II, EMIR.
  • Nice-to-have :

  • Experience with reconciliations / payments.
  • Knowledge of derivatives
  • Knowledge of margining
  • IFIC / CSC completion certificate.
