Join Convergint in Toronto as a Senior Security Technician and help deliver world‑class security system installation, programming, and support to customers. You’ll work on projects ranging from small installations to large‑scale integrations, providing technical support and customer training along the way.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, repair, and service a wide range of electronic security systems and equipment.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation requirements.
- Respond to on‑site service calls, scheduled maintenance, and emergency after‑hours requests.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software issues with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Commission new systems, perform certification testing, and document performance.
- Write non‑routine programs for security systems.
- Consult with supervisors and engineering staff to resolve unusual problems.
- Provide technical support to end users and mentor junior staff.
- Prepare accurate service reports for invoicing and job cost tracking.
- Ensure all work complies with provincial, local, and company safety regulations.
What You’ll Need

Diploma in Electronics preferred.Relevant trade experience.5‑7 years of experience with electronic security systems.5 years of security‑system programming experience.Industry certifications (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, CCure, AMAG, Kantech, Avigilon) are an asset.Company Benefits and Perks
