Job Overview

Indi Commercial Mortgage is seeking a Commercial Underwriter & Fulfillment Specialist to support underwriting and fulfillment activities within our commercial lending operations. This role is ideal for early-career finance professionals looking for hands-on experience in commercial underwriting, document fulfillment, financial analysis, and deal management. The position combines analytical responsibilities with end-to-end execution of commercial mortgage files.

This role is an in-office position in Kelowna, BC

Responsibilities

Underwriting (supports senior team until fully trained)

• Review and analyze commercial mortgage applications, financial statements, rent rolls, credit reports, and property appraisals
• Assess borrower strength, property viability, and deal structure alignment with lender policies
• Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Prepare underwriting summaries and recommendations for approval
• Communicate underwriting decisions to brokers, lenders, and internal stakeholders
• Assist in creating and maintaining financial models and deal analysis templates
