Job Overview
Indi Commercial Mortgage is seeking a Commercial Underwriter & Fulfillment Specialist to support underwriting and fulfillment activities within our commercial lending operations. This role is ideal for early-career finance professionals looking for hands-on experience in commercial underwriting, document fulfillment, financial analysis, and deal management. The position combines analytical responsibilities with end-to-end execution of commercial mortgage files.
This role is an in-office position in Kelowna, BC
Responsibilities
Underwriting (supports senior team until fully trained)
- Review and analyze commercial mortgage applications, financial statements, rent rolls, credit reports, and property appraisals
- Assess borrower strength, property viability, and deal structure alignment with lender policies
- Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Prepare underwriting summaries and recommendations for approval
- Communicate underwriting decisions to brokers, lenders, and internal stakeholders
- Assist in creating and maintaining financial models and deal analysis templates
Fulfillment (initial primary duties)
Collect, verify, and track all required documents from clients and third partiesLiaise with lenders, legal teams, brokers, and appraisers to resolve outstanding conditionsTrack deal progress from conditional approval through fundingConfirm compliance with regulatory and lender-specific requirementsMaintain accurate records and update internal systemsAdditional Responsibilities
