Pay :

  • 45,000-50,000 annually.
  • Benefits after 3 months.

Location : 340 Regional Road 20, Hannon, ON.

Job Duties :

  • Assist Construction Superintendent with daily activities and field personnel direction.
  • Update Project Manager on timeline changes and suggest realistic adjustments.
  • Oversee employee timesheets and track deficiencies.
  • Work with clients on deficiency lists, providing accurate updates and timelines.
  • Maintain construction schedule, identify problems, and provide solutions.
  • Order materials and schedule inspections as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Assist with contractor paperwork and process purchase orders.
  • Use Field Time software to track tasks and confirm employee hours.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and job measurements.
  • Keep Construction Superintendent informed on subcontractor progress.
  • Manage field employees during the Superintendent’s absence.
  • Monitor safety and compliance daily on job sites.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and equipment on-site.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Attend client meetings as required, both onsite and offsite.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications and / of Educational Requirements :

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the construction industry.
  • College Diploma or Degree in Construction Management is preferred.
  • Experience managing field employees and coordinating schedules.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and job safety practices.
  • First-Aid certification is required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Additional Skills :

  • Proficient with blueprints and construction specifications.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment, including small and heavy machinery.
  • Strong understanding of grading and laser level usage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of personalities.
  • Hands-on” approach with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
