We are looking for a customer-oriented, motivated individual to join our professional team as an Environment, Health and Safety Coordinator for our Southern Ontario Region. The home office is in Bolton, ON, and the region covered includes branches across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities :
Ensure accurate record keeping of health & safety compliance filesManage documents such as TDG updates and manifests, license renewals, and Hazardous Waste Information Network documentsPerform customer service functions by answering team member health & safety requests / questionsWrite, revise, proofread, and edit company safety policiesEnter data and ensure follow-ups of incidents / accidents and participate in accident investigations and analysisAssist with the preparation of new team member safety files and onboarding documentsMaintain, update, and audit training recordsSupport safety initiativesCo-ordinate and participate in Joint Health and safety committee meetings and ensure functionality of the committeeAssist with branch audits and document deficiencies and submit corrective actionsAssist with Workers Compensation Claims Management and assist with the coordination of the return-to-work processPerform other duties as assignedWhat You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements :
At least 3-5 years of health & safety experience, preferably in a construction-related environmentValid Class G Driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstractPost-secondary diploma in Environment, Health and Safety Management or a relevant program, or equivalent experienceKnowledge of COR process, and COR Internal Auditor certification is required (or in the process of achieving COR Internal Auditor certification)CRSP (or working towards) is an assetExperience with WSIB injury reporting and submissionsTrain the Trainer certificate would be an assetVery strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookEffective communication skills reflected in the ability to foster strong working relationshipsSuperior attention to detail and organizational skillsVery team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong active listening skillsAble to exercise discretion and tact in sensitive and confidential situationsWillingness to travel between the Southern Ontario branches as neededKnowledge of Ontario environment, health and safety regulationsKnowledge of heavy equipment and construction industry terms and processes is an assetPassion for health and safety!Please note, to be considered for this position applicants should currently be residing in Canada and legally entitled to work.
