Summary
The Regional Truck Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to customer locations. This position will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager and will require travel to and from our various locations as required.
Schedule
- The position is a regional driving role expecting 6–12-hour round trips, with an expected 10-14 hours per day
- This role follows a rotational schedule of 5 days-on, 4 days-off rotating

Monitor the day-to-day operation of equipment in the field both in person and remotely through the use of Samsara / IgnitionDaily Compressor hub duties include, but are not limited to, performing valve sequencing, connecting and disconnecting hoses, and depressurizing and pressurizing hoses at fill posts and PRS’sPerform CNG trailer maintenance focusing on airlines, brake inspections, suspension, tires, CNG valving, lights, and signagePerform tractor maintenance as per upkeep schedule and re-occurring work ordersPerform equipment inspections on Tractors, Trailers and PRS’sInspect PRS’s in the field and observe for gas and glycol leaks. Perform start up and shutdown of PRS’s with the assistance from the Regional TechniciansSubmit Go Canvas Payroll Tickets, Haz ID’s, Best Behavioral Observations (BBO’s), customer site inspections and use other Certarus apps and software, for example Samsara, as requiredMob in & mob out CNG equipment at job sites as requiredAssist Regional Technicians with mob in and mob out work, as well as other work as required. If the Truck Driver holds an IMT, G1 or G2 ticket, they may assist in connecting the PRS to the customer tie-in connectionComplete tasks assigned in the Maintenance program such as re-occurring preventive maintenance work orders. Create corrective work orders as requiredWhile at the hub, perform hub and field housekeeping. For example, wash assets in the wash bay and other duties as requiredWhen making a delivery, remove snow at sites to access PRS doorways, clear ice from condensate drains, and other duties as requiredTake an active role in championing Safety, including performing pre / post trip inspections, participating in safety meetings and complying with safety regulationsWork outside of normal schedule to meet customer needs as required. May be required to utilize truck equipment with a sleeperRequirements
2+ years of industrial driving experience with relevant Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) experience and current certificate is requiredAZ license in good standing and a driving abstract clear of major violations is requiredProficiency with using “E” Logs is preferredMust have strong knowledge of transportation legislation, specifically Hours of ServicePreference given to candidates who are safety minded, customer focused, self-starters, with strong communication skillsMechanical experience is considered an assetPreference given to candidates who are proficient with Windows-based software and using Smart Phones.
