Our Toronto based client is seeking an SAP Program Manager contractor to join their project immediately and will run for 24 months with possibility for extension. This will be a hybrid work setting with occasional travel to Winnipeg required.
- The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SAP technologies, proven leadership capabilities in managing large-scale transformation programs, and the ability to influence and drive consensus across diverse business and technical stakeholders.
- The candidate will be an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead the technical stream of our SAP ECC to S / 4HANA transformation. This high-profile initiative will require a strategic leader with exceptional technical acumen, stakeholder management expertise, and executive-level communication skills to ensure the seamless execution of a complex, global implementation.
- 10+ years of experience in SAP program management, including at least 5 years leading SAP ECC to S / 4HANA transformations.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP ECC and S / 4HANA, including technical architecture, data migration, and system integration.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based SAP deployments and associated technologies.
- Program Leadership : Oversee all aspects of the technical stream within the SAP S / 4HANA transformation program, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budget. Define and execute a comprehensive program roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Anticipate, identify, and mitigate risks and issues, ensuring proactive problem-solving.
- Technical Oversight : Drive the migration and optimization of SAP ECC systems to S / 4HANA, including integrations with other enterprise systems. Ensure adherence to best practices, compliance standards, and performance benchmarks. Guide technical teams in the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions leveraging S / 4HANA capabilities.
- Stakeholder Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical program activities, ensuring consistent and transparent communication with senior leadership, technical teams, and external partners. Engage and align with business units, IT leadership, and third-party vendors to meet program objectives. Deliver impactful presentations and updates to executive leadership, clearly articulating program status, challenges, and opportunities.
- Team Leadership : Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Drive accountability and empower team members to achieve milestones and deliverables.
- Preferred skills but not mandatory : PMP, PRINCE2, or SAP certifications.
- Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in SAP environments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including the CFO.
- Proven track record of managing complex SAP programs, preferably involving global SAP instances and private cloud deployments.
- Experience in ERP implementation methodologies, with hands-on knowledge of both Brownfield and Bluefield approaches.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and ensure successful integration across systems (e.g., Empower and SAP).
- Experience managing SAP implementations in the Private Cloud environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-wide programs at an executive level.
- Demonstrated success in managing large, cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical complexities into clear, actionable insights for executive stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills.
