Working Hours : 7.25 Hrs. / day

Responsibilities

  • Develop user-centric, intuitive, responsive, mobile-friendly, accessible features.
  • Optimize applications to enhance user experience and improve performance.
  • Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
  • Identify and assess appropriate IT solutions to meet complex requirements.
  • Develop systems integration strategies and assess impacts of new solutions on existing services for performance, sustainability, and robustness.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of coding and development standards that adhere to best practices.
  • Build reusable components and microservices and follow emerging technologies.
  • Create quality mock-ups and prototypes for testing.
  • Implement and support initiatives as required to deliver business objectives.
  • Review the work of other team members as required.
  • Provide input into the planning and implementation of the operational plan.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure alignment.
  • Interact with key business & technology stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver requirements that reflect the needs of both the business and end-users.
  • Design solutions, write code, review code, perform unit testing, develop appropriate artifacts, and facilitate final delivery.
  • Assess costs and benefits for different solutions and gain consensus on proposed solution design and recommendations.
  • Support production issues, including independently completing root-cause analysis and diagnosis.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the development capability, share expertise to promote technical development, and mentor Junior Developers.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Ontario Digital Service Standards and Ontario Design System.
  • Experience or knowledge of Siebel CRM, Siebel Open UI Framework, extending Open UI (using Angular via Nexus Bridge or other libraries).
  • Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
  • Experience with middleware and gateways.
  • Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with the project team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
  • Ability to provide user and system documentation as required.
