Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Scheduler to join one of Alberta’s leading utility companies on a 1 year hybrid contract, with a strong possibility of a 2-year extension. The role involves creating, updating and coordinating project schedules utilizing Primavera and supporting a team of Project Managers in the delivery of projects from inception through to closeout. Responsibilities include :

  • Schedule creation, monitoring, updating and distribution
  • Consulting with project manager and technical experts to set up assignment, tasks and subtasks
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system
  • Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Monitoring project timelines and deadlines
  • Identifying potential schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timely manner
  • Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports
  • Accommodating changes to project schedules

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Strong knowledge of Primavera P6
  • 5+ years' of scheduling and planning experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge
