Adecco in partnership with our client is currently hiring a full-time highly experienced Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to lead engineering initiatives for large-scale construction projects, with a strong focus on structural design and building infrastructure. This role oversees full project lifecycles-from planning and design through execution-ensuring adherence to engineering standards, safety requirements, and project goals.

Responsibilities :
Engineering Leadership
Lead engineering initiatives for major construction projects, specializing in structural design and building infrastructure.Provide expert technical guidance and innovative engineering solutions during planning, design, and construction phases.Construction Oversight
Direct and coordinate all construction activities to ensure full compliance with design specifications, industry standards, engineering principles, and safety regulations.Review and interpret construction drawings, technical documents, and project specifications to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce quality standards, and resolve technical or operational issues.Project Management & Collaboration
Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to achieve project milestones on schedule and within budget.Prepare, manage, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, inspection logs, and compliance submissions.Support resource planning, including the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely availability and cost efficiency.Risk, Quality, and Cost Control
Identify potential risks early in the project lifecycle and implement corrective actions to avoid delays, safety concerns, or cost overruns.Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets and financial constraints.Team Leadership & Development
Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical coaching and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.Sustainability & Compliance
Champion environmental sustainability and implement best practices during all phases of construction.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related construction-focused discipline (or equivalent).Professional Engineering designation preferred (P.Eng., P.E., or equivalent).Minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction industry (engineering, architecture, construction management, or similar).Proven experience leading technical aspects of large-scale or industrial facility construction projects.Strong background in Civil Engineering project components such as earthwork, foundations, and buried piping systems.Demonstrated ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and manage construction execution activities.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaAre you interested in this position?
