We are looking for a dedicated Controller to oversee financial operations within our client's manufacturing facility in the Niagara, Ontario region. The ideal candidate will manage accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide insightful reporting to support strategic decision-making. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and driving cost efficiency. This role is ON SITE with some hybrid allowance.
Responsibilities :
- Manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, to ensure accurate and timely information is available.
- Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and financial statements are prepared.
- Implement and monitor cost accounting practices to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights and support decision-making for plant management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations within the manufacturing environment.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to address specific business challenges and opportunities.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and maintaining high performance.
- Utilize accounting software systems to streamline processes and enhance financial data accuracy.
