IT Project Manager - Agile Kanban
My client is a reputable financial institution in the market. They are now looking for an IT Project Manager - Agile Kanban to join the team on full-time permanent basis.
Position will be responsible for refining and managing a streamlined delivery model using agile and Kanban methodologies to enhance workflow efficiency and stakeholder value, as well as implementing Kanban systems for better work visibility and flow, using boards, WIP limits, and metrics.
Kanban Management Professional (KMP) certification is a must have for this position.
Responsibilities :
- Refine and manage a streamlined delivery model using agile and Kanban methodologies to enhance workflow efficiency and stakeholder value.
- Create, manage, and optimize Kanban boards to track project progress and team workload.
- Establish and enforce Work-in-Progress (WIP) limits, identify and resolve workflow issues, and continuously refine Kanban processes.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on Kanban best practices and ensure consistent application across projects.
- Identify and implement Kanban process improvements to increase efficiency, optimize and expose constraints, and improve delivery quality.
Encourage a culture of ongoing enhancement in processes, tools, and workflows.
- Drive the effective implementation and use of Jira and Confluence to support Kanban workflows, ensuring project visibility and accurate delivery tracking.
- Monitor project dependencies and coordinate with other IT teams to align on resource allocation and project timelines.
Requirement :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- A minimum Kanban Management Professional (KMP) certification.
- 5+ years of proven experience in implementing and managing Kanban systems in technology or data-driven settings, with a strong grasp of Lean principles and Kanban practices.
- Proven track record of managing projects with cross-functional teams, ideally in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in Kanban methodology, including hands-on experience creating and managing Kanban boards, setting WIP limits, and optimizing workflows.
- Comprehensive understanding of project and portfolio management methodologies, including project lifecycle, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Kanban Coaching Professional (KCP) certification is highly preferred.
