Position : Payroll Supervisor

Location : North York, Toronto – Hybrid, 3 days per week in office

Salary : Competitive salary + bonus + RRSP + vacation

Quantum is seeking a talented payroll professional to fill a key role in our client's organization's headquarters.

As the Payroll Supervisor, you'll report to the Senior Finance Manager, playing a vital role in overseeing accurate and timely payroll processing across all pay groups. Your responsibilities include maintaining employee records, managing updates to the payroll system, reconciling government documents, and assisting managers and employees with payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities :

  • Execute payroll processing for all pay groups, ensuring adherence to strict timelines.
  • Record and maintain personal and payroll information for hourly and salaried employees, including entitlements such as vacation, sick days, overtime, and holiday pay.
  • Manage updates, modifications, and policy changes within the payroll system.
  • Prepare and issue union dues reports, along with completing cheque requisitions.
  • Handle Record of Employment (ROE) issuance as required.
  • Reconcile annual government-related documents for accuracy.
  • Administer RRSP enrollments, changes, and cancellations.
  • Provide assistance to managers and employees with payroll inquiries and issues, offering exceptional customer service.

Required Qualifications :

  • Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field s
  • 5+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience
  • Thorough grasp of payroll regulations and employment standards
  • Strong communication skills for conveying complex payroll information
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and professionalism
  • Uphold ethical standards and ensure confidentiality
  • Nice to Have :

  • Experience with Ceridian / Dayforce software (preferred)
  • Canadian Payroll Association designation would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with union contracts and prior exposure to unionized payroll processes
  • Previous experience in a hotel or retirement residence strong asset
