Job Description
CIMA+ is seeking to hire an intermediate / senior transportation engineer to support our expanding transportation safety and forensic engineering practice in Ontario and Canada. You will conduct comprehensive assessments of specific events, collisions or losses and determine to what extent, if any, the design, operations, or maintenance of a transportation facility contributed to a specific event or collision. You will provide expert opinions to federal, provincial and municipal transportation agencies, legal counsel, and insurance and other private companies involved in legal liability matters.

The role can be based our of our Ontario offices - Mississauga, Burlington, Guelph, Toronto. Kitchener or London.
Responsibilities
- Managing the preparation of transportation engineering and safety studies for a wide variety of transportation facilities and clients.
- Conducting analysis, field investigations and assessments for a range of projects / matters related to transportation risk, forensics, operations, and safety.
- Effectively communicating investigation and analysis findings to colleagues and clients.
- Preparing reports, proposals and supporting materials.
- Fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, cooperation and collaboration.
Qualifications
For Intermediate Engineer, 5 to 10 years of demonstrated experience in relevant field. While 10 to 15+ years for Senior Engineer.A university degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering.Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.Working knowledge of industry guidance including but not limited to OTM, TAC / MTO Geometric Design, MUTCDC, and Highway Safety Manual.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.Capable of undertaking field assessments, including possession of a valid Ontario driver’s license.Why choose CIMA+?
