PURPOSE

The Purchasing Agent, Trims is responsible for the purchasing and procuring the appropriate merchandise mix based on production plan for our garments.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

  • Partner with vendor to source trims & accessories
  • Follow-up with vendors / factories on all trims style and communicate any change and details
  • Follow up with suppliers, technical drawings and production;
  • Negotiate product quality, purchase quantity, landed cost, and delivery with vendors

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in the fashion industry with buying responsibilities
  • Knowledge of trims will be considered a major asset
  • Ability to work in team and communicate effectively
  • Bilingual (English and French) written and spoken
  • Demonstrated detail orientation; high sense of organization;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of Excel (filters, simple formulas, etc.)
