Role Summary Co-op Term : January - August 2026 Note that if your university has specific requirements for internship programs, it is your responsibility to fulfill those requirements. Responsibilities Design and develop Rivian and Volkswagen group technologies mobile applications and its associated SDK for mobile devices on Android OS Develop sample and demo applications making use of our technology Collaborating with the and product and the design team to define app features. Ensuring quality and performance of application to specifications. Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks. Fixing application bugs before final release. Maintaining the code and atomization of the application. Designing and implementing application updates. Upgrading to Android Developer Requirements Grow your skills with continual learning, workshops, conferences and talks Qualifications Minimum qualifications : Currently enrolled in a full time degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a bachelors, masters or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with Kotlin, Java, and C++. Ability to use the Android Studio, including the Android SDK, with ease. Excellent coding and proofreading skills. Top-notch teamwork and communication skills Knowledge of Android design principles and application interface guidelines. Familiarity with the best in class Software development practices. Familiarity code versioning tools including Git, Bitbucket and others. Familiarity with push notifications, APIs and cloud messaging. Experience with continuous integration. Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to collaboratively work with and influence cross-functional Preferred qualifications : Intent to return to a degree program after the completion of the internship / co-op. Experience with iOS development including Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, Xcode Pay Disclosure Salary Range / Hourly Rate for Internships : The range of pay for internships is $24.00-27.00 CAD per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law.
