About the Role:

Discovery Community College is excited to invite applications for a Dental Reception Instructor to lead and inspire students in our Dental Reception Theory program. This part-time instructional role begins on March 03, 2026.

Schedule & Hours:
Tuesday to Thursday (5:30pm to 9:30pm)
Saturday (8:30am to 5:00pm) Plus 2 hours of office/student support hours.

Rate Range: $31 to $33 CAD per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons in Business Communication, Dental Terminology, Client Records, and Dental Office Procedures.
• Facilitate student learning in a supportive and structured classroom environment.
• Prepare and implement lesson plans, classroom activities, and student assessments aligned with course objectives.
• Track and evaluate student performance and attendance in accordance with college policies.
• Foster a professional, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of experience in a dental office setting with a focus on reception, client coordination, or dental administration — required.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, scheduling, records management, and office procedures.
• Experience mentoring, training, or instructing adult learners — preferred.
• Instructor Diploma or willingness to complete the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP) with college support.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
