Description

You are a safety-conscious Asphalt Plant Foreperson with at least 3 years’ experience. You will be working with our Highway Construction crew throughout Alberta on various paving projects. You are a team player who ensures the well-being of others and lends a hand where needed. Essential Responsibilities

• Manage the mobile asphalt plant safely and effectively, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
• Oversee and ensure the completion of regular equipment maintenance.
• Monitor plant operations to maintain consistent production, complete daily checks, and maintain accurate plant logs.
• Lead and comply with Ledcor’s Health & Safety programs, setting a strong example for the team.
• Supervise daily operations to ensure the safety of the crew, the facility, the environment, and the public.
• Manage resources, including equipment, labor, and contract truckers, to support efficient highway construction activities.
• Plan and prioritize work schedules to meet project milestones and contractual deadlines.
• Collaborate with the quality control supervisor to ensure all quality objectives and contract specifications are met.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and ensure adherence to preventative maintenance schedules.
• Lead daily safety toolbox meetings with the crew, addressing health, safety, and environmental concerns promptly and effectively.
