The Opportunity

SAIT's School of Construction is recruiting for 2 temporary salaried instructors to provide academic leadership and instruction to Pipe Trades apprenticeship & Pre-Employment students and ensure they achieve established learning outcomes.

Reporting to the Academic Chair, you will create a learning environment that is technically supported and innovative in nature. Additionally, you will utilize current information and communication technology in the development and delivery of course content.

Note : SAIT, as a post-secondary institution, serves a diverse student population. Therefore, instructional duties may occasionally be required during early mornings, evenings, and weekends. If selected, specific scheduling arrangements will be discussed between you and the leader.

The Role

• Educate students utilizing existing curriculum resources and utilize a variety of instructional techniques to promote learning and personal development
• Create teaching and learning plans, course maps, course materials, exams, quizzes, presentations and assessments in support of learning objectives
• Prepare additional study and lab materials for learners
• Evaluate student progress and achievement
• Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners
• Demonstrate personal interest in the success of the learner and create a climate conducive to optimal learning
• Participate in promotional activities such as SAIT’s Open House
• Perform related duties as assigned to meet the emerging needs of SAIT and its students

Salary Range : $90,588 - $94,226
