Able to provide Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search A letter of reference from a ministry or church is an asset Adherence to Hope Mission’s Policies and Procedures Every returning staff member receives a $200 per month raise. All staff who complete the full 7 weeks of camp and 2 weeks of training receive a $1000 bonus at the end of the summer.

Because of the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ, Hope Mission exists to serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in search of help, healing, and hope.
OUR FACILITY
Camp Hope is located on 100 acres of forest 20 minutes west of Calgary along the Elbow River. We offer 6-day overnight camps for children and youth ages 6-17. Activities include archery, obstacle courses, bike trails, survival guides, wide games, and more!
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the instructional teaching, safety, facilitation, guidance, and leadership of one of the following activities : low ropes course, archery, wilderness skills, arts / crafts, sports (customizable to individual if other skill present).
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
- Facilitation of designated activity
- Participation and leadership in camp-wide games, challenges, camp rotations, focus skills, bible times, chapels, and other activities as permitted
- Behavioral management and de-escalation of campers
- Supervision, care, and engagement of a group of 7-9 campers accompanied by another 1-2 staff
- Sleep in cabins with campers
- Contribute to the overall success of camp operations by helping in various support roles as needed
