- Collaboratively plans, co-develops, implements and evaluates educational products, projects and programs that support and promote the goals of the Centre, including educational implementation and knowledge mobilization.
- Consults and collaborates with interprofessional teams, trainees, leaders and care partners to assess their current and future learning needs.
- Collaboratively delivers and coordinates in-person and virtual interprofessional education programs with internal and external teams, trainees, leaders and care partners.
- Integrates leading practices, research and educational technologies into teaching to ensure interprofessional teams acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes required for sustained practice change.
- Promotes quality of life for people living, working and studying in aging care settings through person-centred or relationship-centred types of care approaches.
- Provides implementation and coaching support to leaders and homes.
- Communicates with and tailors messaging for diverse learners and stakeholders.
- Participates in ongoing research, evaluation and innovation activities of the Centre.
- Ensures practices and processes are in accordance with legislative, regulatory and professional standards / requirements.
- Some travel will be required.
Qualifications include but are not limited to :
Graduate degree in a registered health care discipline (preferred) or degree in a registered health care discipline with substantive training and education experience.Gerontology and Ontario CLRI Specialized Educator for LTC certificates and project management experience are assetsThree (3) years related experience as an educatorLong-term care and / or aging care experienceExperience working with regulated and unregulated care providers, students, families, volunteers and clinical leadersAdvanced competencies in gerontological leading practicesKnowledge of the quality and related reporting requirements under the Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act, Local Health System Integration Act (i.e. the performance obligations and indicators needed to support Hospital Service Accountability Agreements (‘HSAA’), the Excellent Care for All Act and other pertinent legislation and regulations)Excellent knowledge of curriculum or instructional design and program evaluation with experience in at least one educational methodology (e.g., simulation)Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver and evaluate trainingProficiency in educational technologies (e.g., webinars, apps, learning management system`) and Microsoft Office softwareStrong facilitation, coaching, debriefing, and presentation skills with individuals and teamsSuperior interprofessional, communication, and leadership skillsStrong analytical, consensus-building, solution-finding and innovation skillsClient- and partner-focused in defining quality and establishing prioritiesAbility to work proactively with a range of roles, disciplines and levels of staff within and outside the organizationAbility to thrive in a fast paced, client-focused environment while flexibly managing multiple, competing prioritiesAdditional Benefits :
