This is a full-time, 1-year contract.

MAKING AN IMPACT

The Enterprise Content Management Director (ECM Director) leads the implementation of CCS’s Enterprise Content Strategy and Roadmap to build scalable, sustainable content operations systems and processes as it works toward achieving a mature content operations model.

This role is critical in creating awareness and excitement across the organization, communicating progress, supporting change management and transitioning the strategy from project-based governance to ongoing operations. It also collaborates closely with leads of other Accelerated Digital Roadmap initiatives—particularly data—to align content and data standards that enable integrated, personalized, and AI-ready digital experiences.

This role will report temporarily to the VP, Cancer Information and Policy who is the business lead for the Enterprise Content Strategy (ECS) at CCS.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING :

Leadership and implementation :

  • Iterate content strategy and plan based on changing organizational priorities and insights or updated user journeys
  • Enable and support business adoption and optimization of centralized ECS platforms in collaboration with tech and business leads
  • Implement processes and leverage technology and automation to optimize content workflows and performance
  • Onboard and support business areas adopting enterprise content capabilities to improve operational workflows
  • Create and maintain project plans, dashboards, risk registers, and maturity roadmaps for continuous content operations program improvement

Content alignment, governance and performance :

  • Establish content governance model and framework, and lead a cross-functional content governance committee to optimize the end-to-end flow of content from creation to delivery
  • Define enterprise roles and responsibilities at both enterprise and team levels
  • Establish enterprise processes for content creation, management, and archiving to ensure compliance and quality
  • Help transform journey maps into content operations
  • Oversee enterprise content audits to assess structure, reuse, and metadata readiness, using findings to guide governance, standardization, and alignment with content strategy goals
  • Standardize metadata, taxonomy, templates, and optimize workflows, content models and authoring guides
  • Collaborate and define enterprise content KPIs (e.g., implementation and adoption progress, content optimization and efficiency) to make evidence-based decisions and support teams in tracking their own specific content goals
  • Establish and support maintenance of shared content libraries of reusable assets
  • Ensure content operations are compliant with AI, copyright, accessibility, and other regulatory standards
  • Ensure transparency and accountability by tracking progress against portfolio milestones
  • Collaboration, stakeholder engagement and change management :

  • Act as a trusted partner across business and technology stakeholders
  • Align all teams to shared enterprise content goals and facilitate regular strategy reviews across departments to ensure strategic alignment and performance monitoring, while also enabling teams to tailor content for specific audiences and channels
  • Collaborate with data governance, personalization, UX, omnichannel, and localization leads to optimize content for all business areas
  • Develop or provide training for new processes and tools to build a strong culture of content stewardship
  • Develop and manage communication across teams to share implementation progress, celebrate wins, demonstrate impact

  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Post graduate education preferably in information architecture, library sciences, information management, or a related field
  • 10–15 years of experience in a comparable field, holding senior-level roles.
  • Experience in content strategy, information architecture, and content management systems
  • Extensive experience developing and implementing content governance frameworks, policies, and metadata standards.
  • Hands-on experience with content management, digital asset management; component-based design systems; information architecture and content governance.
  • Leading people and change management
  • A systems thinker with proven experience in implementing multi-tier enterprise systems and managing cross-organizational projects
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship building, change management, and training delivery capabilities in enterprise environments
  • Leadership and motivational skills : Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills : Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability : Ability to solve complex problems creatively, adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities
  • Collaboration and co-design : ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to create solutions that meet shared goals.
  • Strong analytical skills and evaluation : Ability to analyze data and make evidence-based decisions
  • Bilingualism (French / English) is highly preferred, with French being an asset due to the organization’s nationwide operations and the need for effective communication across various regions.
