Job descriptionWork and communicate effectively with the Lead Press Operator, the Manager, Shift Supervisors and staff, and with customers during press checks Manage Feeder duties for quality, efficiency, and productivity to complement Operator responsibilities Understand the job requirements from the docket, proofs and job bag information and locate job components Follow instructions of Lead Press Operator For Colour Sheet-fed Presses : Perform setup and running duties including verify / prepare and maintain ink supply mount plates and set up feeder set up perfecting drum as required check for square and centre image on sheet maintain sheet-to-sheet fit, and lineup front to back on second side set guides and clean blankets Return unused paper and store press sheets Maintain Press chemicals Other tasks to keep press running smoothly For Web-Fed Presses : Perform setup and running duties including : verify / prepare and maintain ink supply mount plates and set up feeder clean blankets bundle completed sections ensure sufficient supply of rolls are available to keep running Weigh and return unused paper Understand the operation of the clamp truck, and learn how to operate it safely Required to take Friesens Forklift Safety Training Course Assist Lead Operator with required press maintenance Be willing to cross train on other printing presses as needed Practice Friesens safety procedures for equipment and plant situations.

Job Requirements :
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Training and / or experience as a Level 2 and / or Lead Operator preferably on a multi-colour press
- Able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Mechanical inclination
- Above average mathematical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Strong work ethic
- Proven problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Able to work as a functioning member of a team
- Able to work well under pressure
- Experience with routine maintenance operations preferred
- Able to discern minuet graduation of colour
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Highly punctual
- Average computer skills
- Ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts
