Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive and implement a visual merchandising strategy.
• Leading a Field Visual Merchandising team.
• Executing impactful and exciting visual displays which showcase product, drive footfall and turnover.
• Constantly focusing on training to ensure seamless execution in terms of in-store customer journey and window displays.
• Driving consistency across seasonal window and in-store merchandising.
• Ensuring alignment to the marketing calendar and that all promotional activity is well highlighted and showcased in the store.
• Ensuring housing guidelines are rolled out nationally and the various retail teams understand the seasons housing and are able to execute along with your guidance.
• Building effective working relationships with retail store management and staff to ensure the VM principles are maintained.
• Keeping track of the performance of various styles of merchandise for the purpose of repositioning stock with the objective of improving sales of underperforming merchandise.
• Maintain a field budget.

Qualifications and Experience:

• National Senior Certificate.
• Drivers licence Code 08.
• A relevant qualification (diploma or degree done in visual and retail merchandising/retail management).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a retail and visual merchandising environment within a senior/similar role (preferably in the retail industry)
• Minimum 5 years’ management experience, managing/coaching teams within the visual merchandising environment.
• Retail experience is essential.

• A keen interest in fashion and trends.
• Broad knowledge of all the trends and keeping up to date with future trends.

NB! This role will require extensive travelling to our stores nationwide.

Preference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
