Our continued growth and development has created a need for a Warehouse Supervisor in our Saskatoon production facility.
Under the direction of the Plant Manager the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for accountable for the overall warehouse operation, which receives and stores, moves and ships supplies, stock and materials to and / or from the warehouse. Manages the overall operation and ensures the safe and effective storage and distribution of customer goods on time and without damage. Develops and implements both short-term and long-term warehouse planning.

Key Responsibilities :
People Management
- Organize all activities & assign jobs accordingly for staff.
- Setup and maintain layout & space management; work organization chart; procedures such as SOP, 6S and WI.
- Manage stock control : the self-assured receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of goods; shipment loading & transferring; document recording and data entry into Syteline.
- Constantly plan out all warehouse resources and activities in relation to company objectives and set targets, including recruitment and hiring of employees.
- Ensure that workplace’s health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.
- Maintain housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area.
- Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse administration.
- Evaluate warehouse employee performance. Maintain employee records, written warnings, reviews and other related documents
Safety Management
Ensure all employees are following all safety procedures and protocolsUpdating of Safe Operating Procedures for all warehouse mobile equipment as requiredEnsure where necessary The Occupational health and safety act, TDG and WHIMS is adhered to.Production
Monitor work times performing Data Collection in ensure production timelines are kept within outlined schedulesReview of production processes and procedures for improvements and increased productivityProvide backup Supervisor duties to other Supervisors for vacation reliefCoordinate with Maintenance for any repairs or maintenance on machinesEnsure that all areas are clean, organized and tidy in accordance with the Plant 5s goalsEnsure that all staff are cross-trained using the skills matrix so that production is not effected by attendanceEnsure inventory levels are accurate with Syteline as per the company cycle counting programPrepare warehouse activity reports, including KPIs, daily / weekly operations reports, health and safety, human resourcesQuality Control

Education & Experience :
High School Diploma and two years of equivalent work experience.College or university degree in business administration or in a discipline related to logistics or warehouse management or pertinent industry experience an assetMust be proficient to operate a forklift, clamp devise, pallet jack, overhead crane devise and maintain OSHA forklift certificationMinimum 5 years experience in a warehousing environment in a supervisory roleIntermediate level skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)Mechanical aptitude – understanding on how mobile equipment operatesExperience with WCB regulations and risk assessmentsPrevious experience with ERP software (Syteline) an assetTrained or have equivalent experience with Bottleneck management, Flow / JIT, Standard works, QDIP, A3 problem solving and project platform, Lean and 5s.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsStrong attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal in challenging situationsAbility to work independently or in a teamAdaptable, flexible and able to work well under pressureSound judgment and decision making abilityBenefits
