Key Responsibilities
Safely operate and maintain boilers and utility systems
Prepare and monitor starch batches for production
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair steam plant issues
Maintain accurate logs and system readings
Follow all maintenance and safety procedures
Assist with plant start-ups and shutdowns
Work closely with production and maintenance teams to reduce downtime
Qualifications
Valid 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate (Manitoba)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
Basic computer proficiency
Solid understanding of safety programs and procedures
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
