Junior Estimator - HVAC
JOB TITLE : Junior Estimator - HVAC
WORK LOCATION : Montreal, QC
Permanent, full-time position
SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Vice President - Engineering, the essential mandate of the junior estimator is to assist and support the sales team with accurate and detailed estimates.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical drawings
- Estimate and draft project proposals for ventilation, air conditioning, and heating
- Design air conditioning and heating systems
- Produce coordination plans with the assistance of the drawing department
- Prepare and review shop drawings for purchasing
- Follow up on price requests with the purchasing department and suppliers
- Be capable of anticipating and preparing options and equivalences when required
- Assist the external sales department in responding to bids
- Provide required information to sales team members
