We are currently interviewing experienced Millwrights for a rewarding opportunity with an excellent company in the Langley, BC area .
The Millwright is a member of the Maintenance team and as such, participates in team efforts to achieve assigned departmental goals. Working closely with all team members is critical in ensuring maintenance activities are completed correctly and on schedule, according to SOP’s and local regulatory requirements. As a Maintenance Millwright on our team, your primary responsibilities will include examination, troubleshooting, replacement / repair of a wide variety of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components. In addition, you will provide technical support to our production team during runtime hours to ensure optimal functionality of all production equipment within the facility. Utilizing our internal asset management system, your daily downtime routine will include preventative, corrective and facility maintenance. Additional tasks / duties maybe required to meet operational demands.
What is Offered :
- Wage : $40.50 (unlicensed) to $50.50 hour (licensed) + $2.00 hour / hour night shift premium (if applicable)
- Shift : Day shifts or night shifts
- $2 per hour for the night premium (9pm to 6am)
- Up to 5% quarterly BTIP bonus based on company targets (ex. $43.50+5%= $45.67 per hour if we hit our targets)
- Benefits start after probationary period (Coverage attached) – please attach benefits overview sheet
- $600 annual tool allowance (receipts required for reimbursement)
- $170 + tax annual boot allowance (through our vendor only – keep receipts for reimbursement)
- $200 referral bonus for applicable candidates
- Pension plan, after 1 year Wonderbrands will match up to 2% and it can increase based on age / years of service
- 2 weeks’ vacation per year to start
- 5 paid sick days per year

Read equipment manuals and blueprints to successfully complete installations, troubleshooting and repairsInstall, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsInspect and examine equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctionsAdjust equipment and repair / replace defective componentsOperate tools such as lathes and milling machines to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of equipmentAssemble equipment prior to installation using hand / power tools and welding equipmentParticipate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliabilityComplete Work Orders according to PM and CM schedulesComply with all applicable legislative and Bakery food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and proceduresEnsure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all timesWork in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and internal LOTO policyPerform other related duties as assigned or requiredThe Ideal Candidate :
Ticketed or Apprenticeship Level (3-4) in the Millwright TradeMinimum 3 years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (Food manufacturing is highly preferred)High aptitude with Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems (Required)Proven track record working with Lathes, Milling Machines and Welding Equipment (ARC, TIG, MIG)Above average problem-solving skillsKnowledge of preventative maintenance programsThrives in a team environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook)Focuses on continuous self-improvementIf you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply now or email your resume to Chris Hutton at
