Title : Shift Maintenance Technician

Required Shift :

12 hour rotating shifts

Shift rotates between days (7am- 7 : 30pm) and nights (7pm- 7 : 30am)

4 days “on” followed by 4 days “off”

Job Purpose :

We’re looking for a Shift Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for multiple areas of the factory which will consist primarily of breakdowns, breakdown assessments and planned maintenance of the factory as well as the reliability of the site.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum Secondary School diploma and Post-Secondary Education in a technical field
  • Recognized trade certificate / license (Millwright / Electrical)
  • 5+ years’ experience maintaining mechanical systems on complex process and / or high-speed production equipment.
  • Safe work practices with equipment, materials, automation, etc.
  • Proven ability to optimize equipment to meet or exceed product specifications, schedule, and planned rates
  • Strong technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, ISO, materials conversion
  • SAP PM working knowledge

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Adhere to company safety and quality processes and rules
  • Provide technical skills required to systematically repair, adjust and maintain processing, filling, conveying, and packaging machinery as assigned using established maintenance reliability practices, consistent observation, repair, and follow-up of operational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, testing, and repairing instrumentation devices.

  • Single and 3-phase powered equipment (troubleshoot, test, and repair)
  • AC and DC control systems (troubleshoot, test, and repair)
  • AC variable speed and servo drives (troubleshoot, replace, program)
  • Operate electronic test equipment (multi-meter, meg-ohm meter, amp probe
  • Must be able to work with others in a team atmosphere
  • Other duties include participating in continuous improvement teams, working on new project activities and continuous training
