About the location :

Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort offers a luxurious adults-only wellness enclave on the secluded Hawaiian island of Lāna‘i. Aloha! Four Seasons Resorts Lana'i is seeking a Ranch Assistant Manager

JOIN OUR 'OHANA

The Ranch Assistant Manager will assist in managing the operation of the Lana'i Ranch including hospitality, safety, training and care of animals.

Job Responsibilities :

Assist with managing the Ranch operation to include but not limited to animal care, barn operation, retail shop, pasture maintenance, trail maintenance, equipment training and maintenance.

Manage Lana'i Ranch staff and training.

Conduct all administrative duties as required for the Lana’i Ranch.

Seek out opportunities for guest-centric experiences.

Measures results (challenges, successes, etc.) and communicates on a regular basis to Island Activities Manger.

Coach staff to achieve culture standards & core standards of Four Seasons.

Manages the activities in order to ensure adherence to Four Seasons standards, policies & safety procedures.

Oversee the day-to-day operation.

Assist with scheduling staff according to labor standards.

Ensures a safe environment at all times for guests and staff.

Ensures operational rules, policy and procedures are followed at all times.

Conduct individual and business affairs in the highest ethical and legal fashion.

Establish and contribute to safe, supportive, creative, enthusiastic, and cooperative working environment for all.

Assists with development of specific objectives, performance standards, and individual development plans for all personnel; responsible for regularly providing progress with each person.

Build strong communication links with peers and employees.

Comply with all company policies and standards.

Other Job Responsibilities :

Handles communication with guests including explanation of riding lessons, handling complaints, guidance, training, technical experience and safety instruction. Supports Wranglers with handing guests' complaints and requests.

Assists with trail rides as needed

Supervise and assist in transportation for guests between the Resorts and the Ranch.

Manage and assist in the appearance of the ranch with barn, trail and pasture maintenance.

Control Inventories, stacks and stores feed and other essentials in storage containers.

Documents work activities and maintain maintenance manuals at the ranch.

Handles vouchers and billing for retail items and ranch fees.

Oversee the cleanliness of facility to include restrooms.

Ensure the cleaning, fueling and maintaining all equipment, carts and vehicles for the operation are completed as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications / Requirements :

Experience working at a ranch operation required

Experience and / or knowledge of UTV operation

Requires excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills

Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.

Requires working to established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance

Requires verbal communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions

Able to think and make effective decisions quickly and react in stressful situations

Ability to create effective working relationships with people.

Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure

Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a timely fashion

Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Computer and typing skills required

Ability to regularly sit, talk and listen.

Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Ability to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 75 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision and color vision.

Must be able to work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.

Ability to work in a noisy environment, in dim lights and hot / cold temperatures.

Must have current First Aid / CPR certification.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.
