Yard Shipper / Receiver

Position Summary :

Reporting to the Assistant Store Manager , the Yard Shipper / Receiver is responsible for efficiently, effectively, and accurately receiving products into the designated UFA location, placing them in appropriate storage locations, and picking, packing, and shipping items for outbound orders to customers. Assist in other functions as required. Must adhere to all UFA customer service standards, ensuring prompt and efficient service to members / customers, accurate and safe handling of inventory, and proper equipment maintenance.

This position qualifies for the UFA Scholarship Program, aimed at students interested in working in rural communities during the summer. Students joining UFA for the season can apply for the scholarship.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities :

• Participate in all aspects of shipping, receiving, inventory functions, and administrative / IFS requirements, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Perform inventory maintenance and cycle counts as directed.
• Operate all materials handling equipment and assist in forklift and equipment maintenance.
• Load and unload trucks following UFA procedures to ensure safety.
• Conduct location inventory and maintain yard and warehouse appearance in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Manage the “Own the Aisle” area to ensure merchandising and inventory standards are maintained.
• Make deliveries as required.

Qualifications :

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring site presence and operation of material handling equipment. The successful candidate must pass a drug and alcohol screening with a negative result.
