Job description

Position : Occupational Therapist

Location : Surrey, BC

BeGlobal is hiring an experienced Occupational Therapist for a leading medical clinic to serve organizations in and around Surrey / Metro Vancouver area.

Job Overview :

As an Occupational Therapist working with clinic, you will assess, plan, and implement therapeutic programs to help patients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. You will collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote independence and improve quality of life. Due to the mobile nature of the job, applicants are required to have a valid driver's license and vehicle.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional abilities and independence.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including adaptive equipment recommendations and environmental modifications.
  • Educate patients and families on strategies to manage daily activities effectively.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Stay informed on the latest occupational therapy techniques, tools, and research.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation practices and patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassion and patience in supporting diverse patient populations.
