Project Manager
Agilus is recruiting for a Project Manager IV in the Oil and Gas industry in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta.
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Project Manager to oversee the implementation of a powerline project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the electrical transmission and utilities sectors.
This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.A typical day : Lead and manage the powerline project from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timelineCoordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and Indigenous communities, to ensure project successEnsure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsOversee the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor project progressimplement risk management strategies to mitigate project riskLead and mentor a team of engineering and support staffFoster strong relationships with management, external partners, and customers.
The successful candidate brings : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldProject Management Professional (PMP) certification and Professional Engineer (P.
Eng.) designation (preferred)Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management within the energy, utilities, or construction sectorsProven track record of managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects, including powerline construction and high voltage projectsExtensive experience in stakeholder management, including working with Indigenous communities and regulatory agenciesDemonstrated success in leading teams and managing project budgets exceeding $50MStrong background in safety leadership, environmental management, and regulatory complianceWhat's in it for you : 1 year contract with potential for extensionHybrid Model : In-office (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday)Travel once a month to BC for 2-3 daysAn opportunity to work at an inclusive and growth-oriented company
