Responsibilities
- Leadership role, assisting the VP of Transportation Western Canada with divisional strategic planning and growth.
- Perform and lead engineering design tasks for transportation and infrastructure projects across the entire project life-cycle from conceptual design to final design, construction and commissioning.
- Develop design of multi-modal transportation projects as per applicable/regional design standards.
- Develop plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates as part of the preparation of both project tender packages and proposals.
- Prepare final bid packages, design-build packages, and project construction documents.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of current design software tools including Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Inroads.
- Mentor and develop intermediate and junior designers in transportation and associated infrastructure design.
- Lead and coordinate design activities between staff, across EXP internal divisions along with subcontractors, and clients.
- Perform technical analyses and reviews of transportation and infrastructure projects.
- Manage day-to-day activities of projects including interdivisional coordination, technical review, and other related activities.
- Supports the Transportation division in preparing reports, plans, and studies.
- Supports the Transportation division with client relationships and business development in developing proposals, presentations, and client development plans.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A passion for the built environment and supporting the development of better places for people to live and work and communities to grow and develop.
- Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Sciences, preferably in infrastructure, civil, transportation engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Revit.
- 8+ years of experience.
- Strong technical design background in transportation/transit/infrastructure design.
- Experience with local City and County agency standards and projects.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, MS Project and InDesign. Photoshop and Illustrator are a plus.
