Advanced Social Worker, Surrey County Council
The Advanced Social Worker (ASW) will be part of the Family Safeguarding Service. You will work with families across East and West Surrey, providing relationship‑based support, mentoring junior staff and deputising for the Team Manager where required.
Salary & Benefits
Salary ranges from £52,884 to £56,175 per annum , inclusive of a market supplement of £5,000. A financial package of up to £6,000 is payable in three instalments across the first 18 months in post.

Responsibilities
Provide expert and empathetic support to children and families, building positive relationships with parents and professionals.Mentor and collaborate with junior social workers, supporting their development and ensuring a reduced caseload for effective service delivery.Deputise for the Team Manager when required, maintaining continuity of leadership.Manage child in need and child protection cases, applying motivational interviewing and a multi‑agency approach.Apply the Family Safeguarding Model and pre‑court procedures, contributing to safeguarding outcomes.Qualifications
Qualified Social Work degree and SWE registrationValid UK driving licence; ability to travel across a wide geographical areaASYE completed within two years of qualifyingThree years post‑qualified experience, gained within the UK social work sectorApplication Process
