Responsibilities of a Network Administrator

Operational Management

  • Maintain and manage the network infrastructure, such as Microsoft / Azure active directory, network topology and back-up technologies.
  • Collaborate on the technical implementation of system enhancements.
  • Actively use our daily planning and change management procedures.
  • Participate in process optimization and documentation.
  • Handle escalations from our user support team and provide our first level support team with technical advice on handling advanced cases.
  • Learning & Deployment

  • Research solutions relevant to improving our processes and technical challenges.
  • Keep up to date on the different technologies through training and dedicated learning.
  • About You

  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft (Cloud and On-Prem), Virtualization, Security, etc.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a network administrator.
  • University or technical degree an asset.
  • Knowledge & Experience

  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken)
  • Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft environments, operating systems, Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
  • Knowledge of Hyper-Convert technologies and Virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge of scripting, automation and software deployment
  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with enterprise level infrastructure
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
  • Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end user procedures.
  • ASSET – knowledge of any of these systems Palo Alto FirewallsIllumio Network SegmentationMicrosoft IntuneWireless and network technology and configuration (Juniper, Cisco)Knowledge of Nutanix Hyper Converged technology
