Maintenance Technician, Electrician - Calgary Airport

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team in maintaining and repairing the airport baggage handling system. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experience with automated systems, ensuring that all baggage operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role will work under direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor or Residential Site Manager. This is an onsite role within Calgary Airport.  Must be able to work rotating shifts; including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities :

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical components of the baggage handling system.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems in control systems, motors, and wiring.
• Collaborate with mechanical technicians to ensure integrated system functionality.
• Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades.
• Assist in the installation of new electrical equipment and upgrades to existing systems.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
• Respond promptly to electrical system failures and work to minimize downtime.
• Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.
• Participate in emergency response drills and safety meetings.
• Report spare parts usage.

Hourly Rate : $36.02
