We have recently added multiple new, major North American OEM’s to our customer base and are embarking on our next level of growth.

In the past 24 months, we have completed our second expansion and continued to increase our investment in robotics, CNC and foundry equipment. Our 100,000 sq.ft. facility currently houses 9 pouring lines, 2 heat treating lines and 22 machining centres.

To support this growth, our team of industry veterans is looking for the next leaders in engineering, manufacturing and mold design to join our team. We have an immediate need for a team member to join our company as a Manufacturing / Process Planning Technician. You can find the details below.

Most importantly, we are looking for problem solvers that focus on process. On Day 1, you would be introduced to the project teams with some of North America’s leading OEM’s on projects that are going into production in 2025. You would have the opportunity to work with a team of leaders that have been in the industry for 20-30 years that want to leverage your insights and expertise. Main functions :

To provide support and services to the Engineering Manager and Process Planner in the development of production methods, planning, measuring as per Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd.’s ISO program and policies and procedures.

Duties :

  • Determine methods of manufacturing for quality parts
  • Assist engineers in developing, building or testing prototypes for new parts processes
  • Monitor and adjust production processes for quality and productivity
  • Troubleshoot issues with machines and tools
  • Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production using tools
  • Build product sub-assembles for testing
  • Create process plans that conform to customer requirements
  • Identification of machine sequences and review existing and new routings for parts
  • Planning and specification of the production process
  • Collect and compile experimental data that will assist in the developmental of specification of parts and tooling
  • Assist in the design of new tools
  • Introduce new components and technologies into production in support of cost-efficient, high-quality parts
  • Examine documents, materials, products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications
  • Address problems systematically as they arise
  • Requisition of materials and supplies
  • Liaison with shop floor for resolution in production issues
  • Report to manager in a timely matter any information that affects products for problem solving
  • Support Lean tools and techniques to manage and control production
  • Any other duties that may be assigned

Employment Requirements :

  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD / CAM / CAE systems is an asset
  • Be a strong team player.
  • High level of positive energy.
  • Self starter.
  • Ability to function effectively in a high pace environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Have an understanding of the lean experience.
  • Ability to transition with change.
